Buying Process– The purchasing process is fairly simple. Once you have decided on the property you wish to purchase, we then work out a payment plan suitable for you and visit an independent solicitor of your choice. The Cyprus legal system is based on the British legal system, which makes the whole procedure rather straightforward. Initially, however, you need to look at various factors. These are:
Property Prices – Since Cyprus’ emission to the European community, the value of property has increased substantially. Property prices continue to increase on a 5% - 10% rate per annum.

Permission to buy Real Estate/Property
Permission to buy property must be sought from the Council of Ministers by written application, which must be submitted by the non-Cypriot purchaser after the agreement is signed. However, this permission is granted more or less as a matter of course to all bona fide purchasers. In the meantime, however, purchasers may take possession of the property without restriction.
The application to to the Council of Ministers to acquire immovable property in Cyprus can be made within a reasonable time after signing the contract of sale.

This is based on an 18+ month period.
